About Us

Bud Hedrick, as anyone who knows him would agree, was born to sell and service customers. After serving in the US Navy, he was drawn to sales, and began with The Marley Cooling Tower Company sales office in Chicago. Personal and professional opportunities brought him to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he joined The Behler Young Company, a distributor of heating, cooling, and ventilation-related products. In 1981, a rapidly growing Liebert Corporation asked if Bud would be willing to form a representative organization for the Western and Northern Michigan area. He seized the opportunity, and in April of 1981 Hedrick Associates was born, representing Liebert and Marley. Bud retired in 1992, but the sales and support staff who joined the company starting in 1982 still proudly carry on the tradition of excellence which he started.

Liebert, Marley, and the other supplemental lines which we represent today, are the most respected and leading manufacturers in their field. Marley was founded in 1925 as the first cooling tower manufacturer, and Liebert in 1965 to support what was at the time a "new" computer industry. We at Hedrick Associates are proud to represent these companies in the dynamic Western and Northern Michigan market.
