Hedrick Associates was founded in 1982 as a manufacturers’ representative firm focused on the Liebert and Marley product lines. Through strategic growth, Hedrick has increased its product and service offerings through additional manufacturers’ partnerships to support core business competencies. Today the firm consists of over 40 team members delivering best in class products and services for the precision power and heat transfer industry. Hedrick associates is uniquely staffed to provide unparalleled customer support during any stage of an engineered project. Our thirteen outside and specialty sales engineers, eight inside technical support engineers, and eight manufacturer-certified field technicians possess decades of product and application experience. We have the technical expertise to support the consulting engineers that are designing systems with our products. We have engineering and hands-on operational experience to be a valued partner in design build opportunities with our contractor partners and we have responsive and capable technical support staffing to ensure customer satisfaction with our products for years to come.
Built on a Foundation of Service
Bud Hedrick, as anyone who knows him would agree, was born to sell and service customers. After serving in the US Navy, he was drawn to sales, and began with The Marley Cooling Tower Company sales office in Chicago. Personal and professional opportunities brought him to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he joined The Behler Young Company, a distributor of heating, cooling, and ventilation-related products. In 1981, a rapidly growing Liebert Corporation asked if Bud would be willing to form a representative organization for the Western and Northern Michigan area. He seized the opportunity, and in early 1982 Hedrick Associates was born, representing Liebert and Marley. Bud retired in 1992, but the sales and support staff who have joined the company over the years still proudly carry on the tradition of excellence which he started.
